Importance of Studying the Word of God . .

According to John 8:32 God has given the word so that we will know the truth and the truth will set us free.

As I was reading this word a thought came to my mind, “what it is to know the truth and what it is to be free?”  

TRUTH - The truth about God which is related to our life. The reality of our life which connects us with god. 

FREEDOM – Freedom from all the false hopes and expectations. 

·     The truth about God. God is everything .In him is the whole universe and he exists in the whole universe. As His word says that His throne is in the sky but his footstool is upon the earth. 

·    The truth about God. He is the Alpha the beginning, the creator. He is word of God who came in to existence when father spoke. The same one who was present with God in the beginning. 

·    The truth about God. He is the Omega who is also the end. He is the continuous cycle the wheel of fire which Ezekiel saw in his vision. The truth about the wheel of fire is that it is continuous; nobody knows where it begins or where it ends. All he could see is a round wheel. (Ezekiel 1; 15, 16). 

·    The truth about God. There is nothing without him. HE WAS, HE IS and HE WILL EVER BE for eternity. 

·    The truth about God. He is the light and where his light shines there is no darkness. 

·    The truth about God. He is filled in every void space so he is everywhere. (genesis1:2). The truth that He is Omnipotent, Omnipresent. 

·    The truth that He is the gist of everything. He is the centre of everything and everything is engulfed in him.  

The word says He is beautiful - that means in every beautiful thing He dwells.

The word says He is the prince of peace it means in every living thing in this universe which gives us happiness and makes us feel peaceful or at ease, He dwells in it. Eg. or any person or people. 

The word says He is light, and there is no place on the whole universe or in the space where there is no light because He dwells in it.

When a baby is born the people say that the first thing he or she sees is mothers face but I thinks that the first thing the baby sees after opening the eyes is Jesus that is light. There is so much to write but one thing which I have understood is  everything is in him and apart from him there is nothing.

Now I know He is the eternal truth, apart from him this world is just like an oasis.

 Whatever hopes and expectations from this life are false because they are temporary, they come and fade away but one thing remains with us and that is the eternal truth. His word i.e. Jesus. 

After studying this word I felt that even though I knew the greatness of God and even though I sang that He is my everything , I never meant it in a real way. Really if God is the eternal truth everything else is just a waste. I asked myself even though I confessed hundreds of time “God I love you “ did I mean it . I felt I never loved God. But he always loved me. My prayer has changed now instead of saying “I love you God, I say God you teach me to love you.”  Since then many of my priorities have changed. Every time I do something I ask myself “ if I loved god would I do this and that itself is changing my life.”
